INDIANAPOLIS -- Indoor track and field action continues this weekend across the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), as 10 conference programs are set to compete in meets spanning Friday and Saturday.
 
Ten G-MAC schools set to compete this weekend
 
Thomas More, Malone, and Cedarville
Three G-MAC programs will travel to Springfield, Ohio, for the Wittenberg Showcase. Cedarville enters the weekend with momentum after a strong performance at its home meet. Thomas More is coming off an impressive showing at the Centre Showcase, where both the men’s and women’s squads placed highly. Malone competed at the Jud Logan Memorial at Kent State last weekend, recording several personal bests.

  • Caroline Hamilton (Fr., Cedarville) 10:07.26 in the women’s 3000 meters.
  • Matthew Schaeckenbach (Jr., Cedarville) 7’ 0.25” in men’s high jump.
  • Allea Graves (So., Malone) 7.88 seconds in the women’s 60 meters.
  • Carter Engle (Jr., Thomas More) 16:47.80 in the men’s 5000 meters.
 
Ashland
Ashland returns to competition at the PNC Lenny Lyles Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky, after hosting the Ashland Invitational. The Eagles claimed nine event titles at their home meet and will look to carry that success into the weekend.

  • Jade Avance (Sr.) 2:09.16 to win the women’s 800 meters.
  • Colton Thress (Jr.) 1:50.78 to win the men’s 800 meters.
  • Molly Winner (Jr.) 15.82 meters in the shot put
 
Hillsdale, Northwood and Tiffin
Hillsdale, Northwood, and Tiffin will compete at the Jets Pizza Invitational hosted by Saginaw Valley State in Michigan. The two-day meet begins Friday and concludes Saturday. Hillsdale will also send four athletes to the Meyo Invitational at Notre Dame.

  • Allison Kuzma (So., Hillsdale) 9:43.68 in the women’s 3000 meters.
  • Breanna Hyde (Jr., Northwood) 18’ 3.75” in the women’s long jump.
 
Walsh
Walsh will be the lone G-MAC representative at the Muskingum Muskie Meet in New Concord, Ohio, on Saturday. The Cavaliers last competed on January 24 at Ashland.

  • Brody Pumneo (Jr.) 1:51.48 in the men’s 800 meters.
  • Bella Graham (So.) 10:15.76 in the women’s 3000 meters.
 
Findlay
Findlay heads to Pennsylvania for the Penn State National Open. The Oilers are coming off a dominant performance at the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic, where 19 athletes earned first-place finishes and 10 posted NCAA qualifying marks.

  • Ty Rosengarten (Fr.) 1:57.74 in the men’s 800 meters.
  • Alex Mutchler (Gr.) 5.08 meters in pole vault (8th in Division II).
  • Sherron Jones (Sr.) 51.08 in the 400 meters.
 
Lake Erie
Lake Erie will compete at the YSU Mid-Major Invitational on Friday and Saturday.

  • Ona Figueras (Fr.) 1.60 meters in women’s high jump.
  • Henry Chingaipe (Jr.) 12.82 meters in men’s triple long jump.
