INDIANAPOLIS -- Indoor track and field action continues this weekend across the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC), with 12 conference programs set to compete on Friday and Saturday.
 
Twelve G-MAC schools compete this weekend
 
Northwood
 
Northwood opens the weekend at the Doug Hansen Open on Friday before traveling to Eastern Michigan for the Bob Parks Memorial on Saturday.
 
Recent Notable Performances:
  • Caleb Palmreuter (So.) leads the G-MAC in the 800 meters (1:53.14).
  • Matt Grindrod (Jr.) recorded a strong mile time of 4:10.70.\
 
Thomas More
 
Thomas More resumes its indoor season at the Centre Invite in Danville, Kentucky. The Saints last competed on December 6 at the MSJ Invite, where the men placed 2nd place and the women won the team title.
 
Recent Highlights:
  • Marcus Johnson (Sr.) ran 7.02 in the 60-meters.
  • Sophia Maki (Fr.) posted a 25.65 in the 200 meters.
 
Hillsdale & Findlay
 
Hillsdale hosts the Hillsdale Wide Track Classic, with Findlay also in attendance. All four G-MAC Athletes of the Week last week came from these two programs.
 
Top Recent Performances:
  • Ben Haas (Sr., Hillsdale): 21.55m weight throw (season best).
  • KJ Upshaw (Sr., Findlay): 6.78 in the 60 meters.
  • Amelia Lutz (So., Hillsdale): 16.42m shot put (school & G-MAC record).
  • Anna Roessner (Fr., Hillsdale): 7.50 in the 60 meters.
 
Ursuline
 
Ursuline competes Friday at the Jud Logan Memorial and Saturday at the JCU Meet.

  • Jocelyn Dornbirer (Sr.) ran 5:12.34 in the mile.
  • The women's 4x400 relay clocked 4:01.39.
 
Cedarville
 
Cedarville returns from break to host the Cedarville Collegiate Invitational, its first meet since December 6.

  • Summer Swartwout (So.) 7.42 in the 60 meters.
  • Brandon Rogers (Jr.) G-MAC leading 48.03 in the 400 meters.
  • Matthew Schaeckenbach (Jr.) 6’10¾” high jump.
 
Malone & Lake Erie
 
Malone and Lake Erie travel to Geneva, Ohio, for the Spire College Midwest Open.

  • Gavin Tribelo (Jr., Malone): 15.70m shot put.
  • Isabelle Perry (Fr., Malone): 11.94m shot put.
  • Maggie Waldo (Sr., Lake Erie): 5’1” high jump.
