NEW ORLEANS, LA- The third release of the NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field National Poll was announced Tuesday afternoon. Tiffin and Findlay represent the Great Midwest Athletic Conference at No. 8 and No. 19, respectively.
The Dragons improved to No. 8, after being ranked No. 10 in last week's Top 25 poll.
Jacob McPherson is one of several atudent-athletes who rank in the Top 10 of their events. At the Division II level, McPherson ranks second in the weight throw with a mark of 20.74m. Collin Jasin joins McPherson in the national rankings at fourth in the pole vault. Sprinter Malachi Adams is also fourth in to 60m dash with a 6.69 time.
The Findlay men dropped two spots to No. 19 this week. The Oilers competed in Ashland's Jud Logan Light Giver Open last weekend, where several individual headlined events. Shakur Payton took first place in the high jump with a 2.05m mark. Keandre Marlow also earned a first-place finish in the heptathalon.
The Dragons will compete at Findlay in two weeks while the Oilers will travel to Indiana and Grand Valley State this weekend.
