Great Midwest Champ Kentucky Wesleyan Runner-Up At Bowling Championship

GASTONIA, N.C. - The Kentucky Wesleyan women's bowling team placed second at the Conference Carolinas/Great Midwest Women's Bowling Championship, advancing to the final day before falling in the final mega match to Lincoln Memorial. 

In the total pinfall 5-game Baker set, the Panthers were within seven pins after three games. KWC won the second and third games before LMU pulled away with a 275 in the fourth to put the match out of reach. Tourney Most Outstanding Bowler Lorrie Decker of LMU bowled a 299, rolling 12 straight strikes before a 9 on her last ball.  

For the tournament, Walsh went 0-2 on both sides and the KWC women went 3-2. The KWC men went 2-2. Corinne Bean, Alyssa Zombirt and Seth Koloski were selected to the men's and women's all-tournament teams.
