INDIANAPOLIS – After recently forming a joint partnership with the Conference Carolinas for a championship opportunity, the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Bowling Athletes of the Week program officially started for 2021-22.
Kentucky Wesleyan and Walsh are the current programs on the men’s side while those schools along with Ursuline will be competing women’s programs.
Men’s Athlete of the Week
Zachary Eble

Middleburg Heights, OH (Berea-Midpark HS)
Eble and the Cavaliers started their season in Columbus at Palace Lanes to compete at the Ohio Bowling Conference #1 tournament.
Eble averaged a score of 184.8 in his four games bowled to finish 22nd individually in a field of 146 bowlers.
Eble’s high game in Columbus was a 222 in Game 3 and Walsh would finish second as a team out of 11 programs.
Women’s Athlete of the Week
Addison Starr

Lewis Center, OH (Olentangy HS)
By virtue of placement in the top five, Starr was the star for the Cavaliers with all-tournament team honors at the Ohio Bowling Conference #1 tournament in Columbus.
The junior was fourth out of nearly 100 bowlers in Tier 2 of the women’s division and averaged 183.25 in her four games.
Starr had a high game of 214 in Game 3 and finished only behind Division I bowlers from Northern Kentucky and Ohio State.
The Walsh women also finished runner-up in the team standings only behind Ohio State. Ursuline was also making its season debut in Columbus.
