INDIANAPOLIS – Two top-10 individual performances over the weekend helped Walsh and Kentucky Wesleyan earn Great Midwest Athletic Conference Bowling Athletes of the Week honors.
 
Men’s Athlete of the Week

The Cavaliers placed sixth overall in the Ohio Conference Bowling Tournament in Columbus, Ohio, over the weekend with an overall total of 6,997 pins.
 
Helping Walsh to a top 10 team finish was freshman Ryan Hanzak, who placed seventh overall in individual competition. Hanzak bowled an 876 series over four games for a 219 average for the tournament.

The Cleveland native’s weekend was highlighted by a high game of 258 in his final game of the day for a season high score.

Over the weekend, Kentucky Wesleyan finished 10th as a program in the Hammer Bearcat Open hosted by McKendree University.
 
The Panthers were led by the senior Zombirt, who also finished 10th as an individual. Over a five-game tournament series, Zombirt totaled 967 pins. That led to a 193 average for the weekend including a high game of 216.
