The Cavs’ sophomore now ranks 10th in Division II in the 800-meter race as a provisional qualifier once again in a time of 1:51.31.

Conrad broke his own conference record by over two seconds, a mark of 1:53.38 at the 2019 Kent State Tune-Up.

Five of his career entries in the 800m are strong enough to rank in the top 10 in the Great Midwest record books.

Field Athlete of the Week
Nikolas Curtiss

Lancaster, OH (Lancaster HS)

Curtiss continues to headline all throwers in Division II in the shot put, coming through with another auto qualifying distance for No. 2 ranked Tiffin at the Dragon Grand Prix.

Three of the top seven throwers from DII in the shot put are Dragons with Jabari Bennett and Eric Jackson routinely stealing the show in the cages this season.

Curtiss had a season best distance of 19.40m (63’ 7.75”) to win the event over his teammates, who both hit provisional qualifying marks as well.

Curtiss is now ranked fourth, seventh and 10th in the conference record books in the event while emerging as the favorite for the national title in his specialized event.
