INDIANAPOLIS – From preseason top-ranked USTCCCA program Tiffin, the Dragons claimed both Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week awards on Monday.
 
The first official USTFCCA team national rankings are scheduled to be released on Tuesday, Jan. 28.

At the Saginaw Valley State-hosted “Jet’s Pizza” Invitational, Page provisionally qualified for nationals in a pair of different events while contributing to a new conference record.
 
The freshman ran a 21.96 in the prelims of the 200-meter dash, officially cracking the top 10 list in conference history. He finished second in that event after clocking a flat 22 second final run.
 
Page then won the 400-meter dash with a time of 48.45, adding his name to the list of provisional qualifiers.
 
Page then helped rewrite history in the 4x400 relay with teammates Lenell Shelby III, Micah Robins and Brandon Lynn.
 
Together, they ran a 3:16.15 to break the previous record set by another Dragons’ foursome at the Ohio State Tune-Up.

Bennett keeps upping the bar for himself and the rest of the country as he established a new PR with yet another automatic qualifying distance in the shot put.
 
Bennett and the Dragons were split this weekend as he competed at the Conference Crossover hosted by Hillsdale.
 
Already leading NCAA Division II in the event, Bennett went over 19 meters (62’ 5”) for the winning distance.
 
The Dragons occupied the top four placements in the shot put at the event after Nikolas Curtiss was runner-up, Eric Jackson third and Isaiah Allen taking fourth.
 
This his Bennett’s third conference career weekly honor and second of the current indoor season.
