GREENWOOD, Ind. - Trevecca Nazarene junior distance runner Logan Rodgers was named the sixth Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week for the indoor season on Monday.

Rodgers provisionally qualified for the NCAA Division II Indoor Championships in the 5K at The Armory Invitational in New York.
 
His time of 14:21.39 was a new personal best, new conference indoor record and through times reported through the weekend, currently stands as the eighth-best mark in the entire country at the Division II level.
 
The top 5K time in NCAA DII is currently held by Johnnie Guy (Southern Indiana) and his 14:11.28 at the Vanderbilt Invitational.
 
Rodgers finished second in the event and beat out 13 runners from Duke, South Carolina, Maryland, Miami and Lehigh.
 
Rodgers’ time beat his own previous G-MAC record of 14:33.36 run at the Vanderbilt Opener back on December 5.
 
The Trojans are scheduled to compete next this upcoming weekend at the Samford Invitational in Birmingham, Ala.
