GREENWOOD, Ind. - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Daniel Michalski of Cedarville University and Beatriz Indurain of Ursuline College the Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week.

Cedarville’s Daniel Michalski has been named the G-MAC Men’s Track & Field Athlete of the Week after posting a conference record in the mile at the NCCAA Indoor Championships this past weekend.
 
Running the mile in 4:23.28, Michalski placed second in the meet earning NCCAA All-American honors in the event. Although he finished second in the event, the freshman has joined several teammates as a key athlete to look out for in the G-MAC Indoor Championships this weekend in Gambier, OH.
 
Michalski also played an integral role in the team’s Distance Medley Relay, as he anchored the Yellow Jackets to a second place finish and new G-MAC record gathering NCCAA All-American honors for this event as well. The Cedarville DMR team will be a force to be reckon with in the Indoor Championships on Saturday.

Having already automatically qualified for the NCAA Division II 60m hurdles earlier in the season, senior Bea Indurain set multiple school records this past weekend in route to earning Athlete of the Week honors.
 
After setting a school record in the 55m dash, Indurain won the long jump event with a distance of 5.21m, which was good for third all-time in the conference. The next day, Indurain set a new school record in the 60m dash and the 60m hurdles as well. Clocking in at 7.84 seconds in the 60m dash, the senior also set a new conference record besting her teammate record time by .01 seconds.
 
By winning the 60m hurdles with a time 8.54 seconds, Indurain tops the G-MAC record book in the event as well. She also hit the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying time for the NCAA Indoor Championships.
