He topped his previous record of 7.11 seconds, which he set in his collegiate debut last year at Findlay. He now holds the top-five times posted in the event at Cedarville, while ranking third in the conference record books - though he owns the conference record for the 55 meter dash.

Tori Abdul has been named the Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week for the first time, following her performance at the SPIRE North Coast Indoor Open.
Abdul won the 400 meter dash with a time of 56.95, establishing a new school record, a new G-MAC record, and achieving an NCAA Division II Championship provisional qualifying time. The automatic qualifying time is 54.81 and the provisional line is 57.11. She and Bea Indurain (60m Hurdles) both earned provisional qualifying status over the weekend, the first two in either men's or women's indoor track and field to do so this season.
Abdul also finished second in the 200 meter distance with a time of 25.76. She owns the second fastest time this season in that event, running it in 25.60 earlier this season. She also competed in the prelims of the 60 meter dash, in which she finished third but chose to sit out the finals. She recorded a time of 7.99 in the event, which was the second fastest time in school history in that event.
