INDIANAPOLIS - The Great Midwest Athletic Conference has named Ben Moroney and Anna Hoffman of Trevecca Nazarene University the Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week.

Ben Moroney has been named G-MAC Men’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week following his performance at the team’s first meet of 2014.
At the University of Alabama Birmingham Blazer Invitational, Moroney finished second overall in the Men’s 5000 meter run. His time of 15:54.76 also established a new school record for the Trojans. He finished just three seconds behind the top runner from Western Kentucky and almost 16 second ahead of third place, which happened to be teammate Josh Winskie.

Women’s Track and Field: Athlete of the Week

Anna Hoffman has been named the Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week following her performance at the University of Alabama Birmingham Blazer Invitational to open the 2013-14 indoor track and field season for TNU.
Hoffman, finished in 47th place in the 400-meter dash with a time of 101.37 in her first ever track and field meet in her life (high school or college). Hoffman, who is also a member of the soccer team and a G-MAC all-conference selection, also ran the 400-meter leg of the Distance Medley Relay. During her portion of the race, she gained time, overtaking a pair of runners. In the relay, the group finished 11th with a time of 13:14.95, finishing above several NCAA Division I teams.
