Series HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Ashland vs. Tiffin (Ashland wins series 4-0) Ashland hosted Tiffin this week and completed a clean sweep of the Dragons. Three of the four games were decided in the eighth inning or later, but Ashland’s timely hitting proved to be the difference throughout the series. The Eagles opened strong on Friday with 3-2 and 6-1 victories. Drew Stevens recorded two hits in game one, while Sean Krueckeberg added two hits in game two. Krueckeberg also played a key role in game three, delivering a two-RBI single in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game before Ashland secured a 7-6 walk-off win. The Eagles continued the late-game heroics in game four, as Billy Howard lined a single to bring home the winning run and complete the sweep.
  • ODU vs. Walsh (Walsh wins series 3-1) Walsh traveled to Ohio Dominican and came away with a strong 3-1 series victory on the road. The Cavaliers were powered by an outstanding weekend from Mason Stoldt, who went 12-for-24 with 18 RBIs. Stoldt launched six home runs, bringing his season total to 15, and now leads the conference in both home runs (by four) and RBIs (by five). As a team, Walsh exploded offensively, scoring 47 runs and collecting 54 hits against the Panthers.
  • Lake Erie vs. Northwood (Northwood wins series 3-1) Northwood visited Lake Erie and secured a 3-1 series win over the Storm. The Timberwolves opened with a dominant 24-5 victory before Lake Erie responded with a 5-4 win to split the first day. However, Northwood controlled day two, winning 15-0 and 10-3 to clinch the series. Evan Kavalick led the Timberwolves, hitting .563 on the week with two home runs and eight RBIs while starting all five games behind the plate. He also posted an impressive .650 on-base percentage and a 1.125 slugging percentage.
  • Thomas More vs. KWC (KWC wins series 3-1) Kentucky Wesleyan took three of four in an in-state matchup against Thomas More. Game one was a back-and-forth battle until the Panthers broke through with three runs in the tenth inning to secure a 15-12 win. The Saints responded in game two with an 8-6 victory, highlighted by Nolan Krekeler’s three-run walk-off home run in the eighth. Day two belonged to Kentucky Wesleyan, as they won 10-4 and 14-2 to claim the series. Liam Hutson led the Panthers on day two, going 5-for-10 with two runs scored and six RBIs.
  • Cedarville vs. Malone (Series split 2-2) Cedarville hosted Malone and earned a split by containing Malone’s potent offense. Cedarville took game one 8-3 behind seven strong innings from starter Jensen Wagoner. Malone answered in game two, winning 3-2 after Vincent Alvarez delivered a sacrifice fly in the eighth that proved to be the game-winner. Cedarville regained momentum in game three, as two-way player Max Doepker threw a seven-inning shutout in a 7-0 victory. In game four, the teams were tied 4-4 entering the ninth before Cedarville broke it open with four runs to win 8-4. Reilly Tyna led the Pioneers in the finale with two hits, one run, and four RBIs.
  • Hillsdale vs. Findlay (Findlay wins series 3-1) Findlay traveled to Hillsdale and took three of four in a series that began Friday and concluded Monday. The Oilers dominated game one with a 21-2 win, led by Casey Maruniak and Gavyn Smith, who each recorded three hits. Maruniak scored three runs and drove in three, while Senften added three runs scored and two RBIs. Hillsdale claimed its lone win in game two, scoring five runs in the first inning en route to a 5-3 victory. Findlay closed out the series with a doubleheader sweep on Monday, winning 6-4 and 4-3.
