The latest United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 NCAA Division II women's poll was revealed on Tuesday (Oct. 21) afternoon, and Ashland University's women's soccer team has moved up one spot to No. 15.
Having gone 8-0-2 in the last 10 games, the Eagles are 9-2-2 overall and 7-0-2 in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference heading into the new week. Ashland is in first place in the Great Midwest table with 23 points – one ahead of second-place Findlay and three ahead of third-place Cedarville.
Ashland's next game will be Thursday (Oct. 23) at 3:30 p.m. at Ferguson Field vs. Walsh (4-6-3, 3-5-2).
The Eagles continue to be the top team in Division II with 10.38 corner kicks per game, and are tied for 10
th in the nation in both total goals (37) and goals per game (2.85).
Individually, sophomore forward
Sofia Divine is third in the country in shot accuracy (73.9 percent, 17 of 23), while senior forward
Dani Hicks is tied for seventh in assists (seven) and total points (25), and 10
th in shots on goal per game (2.46).
