INDIANAPOLIS- The NCAA announced the top 30 honorees for the 2026 Woman of the Year, Wednesday afternoon. Findlay’s Mary Kelly Mulcahy is one of 30 nominees across all divisions, and one of 10 at the Division II level.
During her time at Findlay, Mulcahy was not only a standout both on the golf course and in the classroom. The Lima, Ohio native boasted an impressive 4.0 GPA throughout her five years as an Oiler. She earned recognition for her academic excellence from the Delta Nu Delta International Business Honor Society, Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), College Sports Communicators (CSC), and the Division II College Commissioners Association (D2CCA).
She set a shattered a number of records both at the institution and conference level, including the single season scoring average (71.71), 36-hole scoring record (136), 18-hole scoring record (64), 54-hole scoring record (205), and career scoring record (73.06).
Mulcahy has a lengthy list of accomplishments that includes three first-team all-American honors, 2024 National Player of the Year, 2022 national champion, and team USA Arnold Palmer Cup qualifier.
The top 30 honorees will be celebrated virtually on October 22. From there, the selection committee will determine three honorees from each of the three divisions, for a total of nine finalists. The NCAA Committee on Women’s Athletics will then choose the Woman of the Year at the NCAA Convention in January.
