INDIANAPOLIS- Week 3 of G-MAC men’s soccer brought competitive and hard-fought games. This past week, all teams began their conference schedule, setting the stage for an exciting rest of the season. Every game from here on out, teams will battle for the top spots on the conference leaderboard.

Game Highlights:

• Against Ashland, Tiffin took a 1-0 lead into halftime after Aymeric Letang scored on a header off a corner kick. Garbhan Feeney and Callum Ellington added to the offense while Tiffin’s defense only let Ashland attempt six shots. Tiffin also went on the defeat Malone the following Saturday, not letting the Pioneers score a single goal.
• Cedarville began G-MAC play with a 2-0 win over Ohio Dominican on Thursday, with Asa Haley scoring in the first half before Landon Nates added another goal in the 72nd minute. On Saturday, Cedarville beat Ashland 4-1 behind two goals from both Yonis Velasquez-Quezada and Brady Johnson. Goalkeeper Toby Edwards held it down in the net, as he made six saves.
• Thomas More opened conference play with a 2-1 win over Malone on Thursday, with Harrison Page scoring the opening goal in the 37th minute and Cooper Walters adding the game-winning goal early in the second half. Malone converted a penalty kick in the 89th minute, but Thomas More kept their advantage in shot attempts. The Saints continued Saturday with a tie against Lake Erie.
• Lake Erie earned themselves a 4-1 win over Kentucky Wesleyan, with many players finding the net after the Panthers scored first in the sixth minute. Fabio Juricko, Cal Babiash and William Hjelte each scored.
• Kentucky Wesleyan defeated unbeaten Findlay, who was previously unbeaten,  2-1 in G-MAC play, with Braeden Myers-Curry opening the scoring, while Ivan Juarez netted the game-winning goal in the 67th minute.
• Northwood took down Walsh 3-2 in G-MAC play as Brendan Gerard and Bodhi Wideman scored in the first half before Patrick Hamilton’s 86th-minute goal won the game. Northwood overtook Walsh in shot attempts.
