INDIANAPOLIS — The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) spring golf season saw major success in the Bluegrass State during Week 5, highlighted by the University of Findlay sweeping team championships on both the men's and women's sides. Despite battling high winds and dropping temperatures across Kentucky, G-MAC programs continued to build momentum as the calendar pushes toward late March.

SVSU Spring Invitational (Lexington, Ky.): No. 46 Findlay captured the team championship at the 14-team event hosted at Kearney Hill Golf Links. The Oilers put together a complete performance to secure the victory, fending off tough regional challengers in Missouri S&T and Davenport.

Top Performer: Findlay’s Luke Metzger stayed red-hot, taking home individual medalist honors to pace the Oilers and secure the top spot on the podium.

Findlay Spring Invitational (Richmond, Ky.): The No. 4-ranked Oilers successfully defended their turf, claiming the team title at the Findlay Spring Invitational at Boone's Trace National GC. Findlay posted a top team score of +33 to finish in first place. The tournament was ultimately shortened to a 36-hole event after the third round was canceled due to high winds and cold weather.

SVSU Women's Spring Invite (Georgetown, Ky.): Northwood and other G-MAC competitors tackled the Cherry Blossom Golf & Country Club for the Saginaw Valley State-hosted event, battling the same tough weekend weather systems that impacted the entire region.
