Owensboro, Ky. – Jonah Graham and Thomas Scott, members of the Kentucky Wesleyan men's golf program last season, have been named 2024-25 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars.
Both have had impressive academic careers during their time at KWC. This is Graham's second time earning All-America Scholar honors, and Scott won the G-MAC Elite 26 Award earlier this year.
To be eligible for nomination, per the Golf Coaches Association of America, an individual "must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their associate's degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must participate in 50% of their team's competitive rounds, have a stroke average under 78.0 in NCAA Division II, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. A recipient must also be of high moral character and be in good standing at their college or university."
"What people don't see is the hard work student-athletes put in on campus. Athletes take a public exam every competition. No one sees the quizzes, tests, and presentations they prepare for each week," head men's and women's golf coach Ken Badylak said. "I am proud of Jonah and Thomas for being named All-America Scholars. There is no price tag on players that continually do the right things and set a tremendous example to their peers. They set their own standards and work relentlessly to meet those expectations."
Graham and Scott were two of just 207 total NCAA Division II athletes from 78 schools to earn 2024-25 Cobalt All-America Scholar honors.
