Findlay Cracks Top 10 in Final LEARFIELD Cup Standings

INDIANAPOLIS- With more than half of its membership represented, the G-MAC had a strong showing in the final Division II LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup standings for the 2024-25 academic year.
 
The LEARFIELD Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of College Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution’s finish in the NCAA Championships.
 
Findlay cracked the top 10 for the first time since joining the conference. The Oilers earned 621.25 total points, with women’s golf being the highest point getter at 73 following a fifth place finish at nationals. Women’s outdoor track and field added 60 points, followed by men’s golf with 51. Findlay finished the spring season with 246.25 points and are the highest-ranking G-MAC team in the final standings.
 
Ashland fell seven spots behind the Oilers at No. 17. This is also the Eagles’ highest-ranking finish since joining the conference in 2021. Women’s track & field earned the most points during the spring with a 16th place finish at nationals to earn 58.5 points. Men’s track & field added 38.5 points following the program’s first G-MAC outdoor title.
 
Tiffin and Hillsdale also cracked the top 100 with TU at 45 and HC at 65. The Dragons accumulated 394.50 points in the sports of women’s golf, softball, women’s tennis, men’s tennis, and men’s and women’s track & field.
 
Hillsdale maintained a top 100 status with 303.00 points.
 
Next is Lake Erie ranked 167 followed by Northwood at No. 180.
 
Cedarville, Walsh, Ohio Dominican, and Malone round out teams from the league in the final standings.
