INDIANAPOLIS– The Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) celebrated the academic accomplishments of 1,210 student-athletes recognized as part of the 2025-26 Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) Academic Achievement Awards, announced Wednesday by the D2 ADA.

The annual awards recognize the academic accomplishments of NCAA Division II student-athletes competing in championship-sponsored sports. To qualify, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, complete a minimum of two years (four semesters) of college-level work and be an active member of an intercollegiate team during the previous academic year.

The G-MAC's 1,210 honorees ranked among the highest conference totals in Division II, placing the conference third nationally among conferences with more than 1,000 recipients. The recognition highlights the continued commitment of G-MAC student-athletes to excellence both in competition and in the classroom.

Leading the conference was Tiffin University, which had 297 student-athletes recognized. The Dragons' total ranked among the highest of any Division II institution nationally and was the
largest total in the G-MAC. Tiffin was one of 16 Division II institutions to have more than 200 honorees.

The G-MAC's remaining honorees included Ashland (197), Thomas More (142), Lake Erie (131), Cedarville (126), Hillsdale (98), Ursuline (73), Ohio Dominican (75) and Kentucky Wesleyan (71).

"We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of our student-athletes in the classroom," said G-MAC Commissioner Tom Daeger. "The D2 ADA Academic Achievement Awards are a tremendous reflection of the dedication and discipline demonstrated by our student-athletes, coaches and institutions. Congratulations to all 1,210 G-MAC honorees, with special recognition to Tiffin for leading the conference with 297 recipients."

Nationally, more than 21,000 student-athletes from 179 institutions were recognized for the 2025-26 Academic Achievement Awards, marking the 19th year of the program. Since its inception, more than 211,000 Division II student-athletes have received the honor.
