ODU's Yadhu Urs Headline's Men's Golf Awards

INDIANAPOLIS—After an outstanding season, Ohio Dominican’s Yadhu Urs was voted the Great Midwest Golfer of the Year to headline the conference’s postseason awards list. Findlay’s Cahle Roth was voted as the conference’s top freshman.
 
Urs, a senior from Castries, Saint Lucia, shot rounds of 75-74-70 at the Great Midwest Championship to earn a 4th place overall finish. Urs led the Panthers to their first G-MAC title and an automatic qualifying bid to the NCAA regional. The senior then went on to qualify as an individual for the national championship. He became just the third individual in ODU history to qualify for the event.
 
Roth, a native of Archbold, Ohio burst onto the scene as one of the highest ranking freshman in the league. He finished in the top 10 at the conference championship, shooting rounds of 71-75-77. During his collegiate debur, Roth recorded a scoring average of 73.1, including six top 20 finished.
 
Conference champion,  Ohio Dominican, saw head coach Chris Deibel earn the Coach of the Year award after leading the Panthers to their first conference title.
 
Kentucky Wesleyan’s Thomas Scott was awarded the Elite 26 award for academic excellence. Scott is a sophomore majoring in Chemistry.
 
The 2024-25 season ended with four G-MAC programs qualifying for the regional event.
