4.21.25

FLORENCE, Ind. – The Great Midwest Athletic Conference is set to host the 12th annual Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships at Belterra Resort in Florence, Ind.

The par 72 layout will challenge individuals across the G-MAC with a 54-hole stroke play competition followed by a final medal match play round between the top two scoring teams to determine the conference champions.

The men’s championship will begin Monday, April 21, and conclude Wednesday, April 23, while the women’s championship will follow from Thursday, April 24, through Saturday, April 26. On the men’s side, the Findlay Oilers, who won the 2024 championships, will look to defend their title. However, Ashland, which earned its first G-MAC title in 2023, and the Tiffin Dragons are looking to be back in the mix in 2025.

In the latest Midwest Regional rankings, Findlay comes in at No. 5, followed by Ashland at No. 8, Hillsdale at No. 9, and Ohio Dominican at No. 10. Findlay has twice lifted the conference trophy, while Tiffin and Ashland have each won once.

On the women’s side, Findlay enters the championship once again as the team to beat. The Oilers have claimed six consecutive G-MAC titles and are ranked No. 1 in the East Region. They are followed closely in the rankings by fellow G-MAC members Tiffin at No. 4, Ashland at No. 7, and Ohio Dominican at No. 15.

Both the men’s and women’s tournament format will feature 36 holes of stroke play on the opening day, followed by 18 on day two. The two teams with the lowest aggregate scores will advance to medal match play on the final day.

The top individual finisher in stroke play will be recognized as the individual medalist, while All-Conference honors will be awarded to the top eight individual finishers, plus ties, and five additional players selected by coaches' vote.

The Belterra Resort presents a new test for all competitors in 2025, replacing the Pearl Club as the host site from 2024.

With championship implications and national rankings on the line heading into the final weeks of the 2025 season, each G-MAC side will be ready to clash the week after Easter.
