INDIANAPOLIS—The University Club of Kentucky has served as the host site of the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Golf Championships for the past four years.
Tuesday afternoon, the Great Midwest announced a change to the site for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
The Pearl Club in Owensboro, KY has been selected as the neutral location for the men’s and women’s golf championships this season.
The championships committee approved the site change, following a recommendation by coaches and other conference officials.
“We look forward to conducting the 2024 Golf Championships at The Pearl Club and are thankful to our host course, the City of Owensboro, Kentucky Wesleyan and all that are making this event a possibility” said Great Midwest commissioner Tom Daeger. “It will be an exciting and highly competitive week of golf in Owensboro for our men's and women's championships.”
The Pearl Club features bent grass greens, zoysia fairways, and Bermuda rough. Located eight miles east of Owensboro, Kentucky, the Pearl Club can be played from 5,500 yards up to 6,925 yards.
The format of the tournament will remain the same, with 54-hole stroke play followed by the top two teams advancing to a medal-match bracket.
