Seton Hill, Mercyhurst to Play for G-MAC Title

Greensburg, Pa. -- For the sixth consecutive time, Seton Hill and Mercyhurst will play for a Great Midwest Men's Lacrosse Championship.

As the top seed, the Griffins will host the Lakers at Dick's Sporting Goods Field on Saturday.

Seton Hill has won three of the five contests played to date and has a 5-2 lead all time in postseason contests with the Lakers.  SHU has won three of the four postseason meetings with the Lakers in Erie. SHU won last year's G-MAC title with a 14-10 win in Erie  The Griffins also won the 2018 G-MAC title at home with a 12-5 win over the Lakers. SHU defeated Mercyhurst 8-7 in last year's NCAA Tournament. The Mercyhurst postseason wins came in the 2019 G-MAC final (14-10) and 2021 G-MAC final (11-7).  

In the regular season meeting between these two, Seton Hill jumped out to a 3-0 lead and never trailed in an 11-8 win over the Lakers.
