INDIANAPOLIS- Davenport and Seton Hill remain as the lone undefeated teams in the conference with a perfect 8-0 mark. The two will battle each other this Saturday to claim the regular season title.
GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
- The Griffins put up a pair of 20+ goal performances in wins over Point Park and Northwood. Seton Hill and Point Park were tied 3-3 at the 3:32 minute mark, before the Griffins went on an 18-0 run. Nate Herbster put up a game-high four goals on seven shots. SHU went on to hand Northwood their first conference loss,beating the Timberwolves 22-12. Cullen Green was credited with four of the teams eight caused turnovers, while Carter Li connected on five goals.
- Davenport’s Jayden Ashley was once again dominant for the Panthers in a 24-4 conference victory over Davis & Elkins. Ashley finished the game with 10 goals and four assists. Logan Flaherty won 23 of 28 faceoffs, while picking up a game-high 17 ground balls.
- Walsh picked up two dominant wins over cross-town rival Malone and Thomas More. Austin England got two wins in net, totaling 18 saves on the week. Parker Stanway, Toby Olynyk, and Ty Pilkington each had four goals against Malone to seal the 21-8 victory. Stanway and Pilkington then went on to score six goals apiece against Thomas More. The pair of victories helped the Cavaliers secure a spot in the postseason tournament.
- Point Park picked up a win over Tiffin in a close 12-10 battle. Parker Bowersox led the way with three goals, four ground balls, and one caused turnover. PPU’s Mario Lorenson earned the win in net, playing all 60 minutes and recording 14 saves.
- Andrew Cramer from Lake Erie put up a game-high six goals in the Storm’s 14-11 win over the Pioneers.
