INDIANAPOLIS-- The NCAA released the second regional rankings for both men’s and women’s golf. On the women’s side, teams are split into four regions (Central, East, South and West) based on geographical location. Teams are categorized into eight regions on the men’s side, with Great Midwest teams being ranked in the Midwest Region. The rankings take into consideration matches played through March 31.
The University of Findlay women claimed the top spot in the East Region. The reigning national champions continue to find success this spring, placing in the top 3 in all of their matches so far.
Tiffin and Walsh are ranked 4
th and 8
th, respectively. Ashland rounds out teams from the conference at No. 18.
A trio of men’s teams from the league are ranked in the Midwest region, with Findlay at No. 4. The Oilers are coming off a first place finish at the West Liberty Invite.
Ashland is ranked ninth and Tiffin is polled at No. 10 to represent teams from the Great Midwest.
The next set of rankings will include matches played through April 13.
