LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Ashland Eagles Men’s Golf team claimed their first Great Midwest Title Wednesday afternoon. Ashland edged top-seed Tiffin 3.5 – 1.5 in Wednesday’s medal match after the Dragons had the best team score after 54 holes.
 
Ashland’s Carter Mishler and Logan Thomas did their part in securing the Eagle’s championship, both defeating their opponents.
 
The Eagles officially punched their ticket with as an automatic qualifier to the NCAA Midwest Regional.
 
Coming in, Ashland was ranked 9^th in the region, along with Findlay at No. 3 and Tiffin at No.11.
 
The NCAA Men’s Golf Selection Show is scheduled for Friday, April 28, with the national championship to take place May 22-26 in Warren, Ohio.
