INDIANAPOLIS – Trevecca Nazarene and Tiffin shared respective Great Midwest Athletic Conference Tennis Athletes of the Week honors as announced on Thursday.
Men’s Athlete of the Week

Turner is the men’s athlete of the week for the seventh time in his career, following finishing in a tie atop the standings of the Doc Spragg Invitational at the Findlay Country Club earlier this week.
Turner, who was edged in a one-hole playoff by Keegan Bronnenberg of Indianapolis for the medalist honors, is officially credited with his seventh career win, tying a program record.
Turner turned in three rounds under par with a 71-69-70=210. Turner finished atop the field in par-four scoring, averaging 3.93 for a two-under-par total.
Turner recorded all three rounds in par-or-better, and now has done that 51 times in his career. It is also a new Trevecca record.
Women’s Athlete of the Week
Alexis Savage

Springboro, OH (Springboro HS)
Savage and the Dragons roared to a team title at the Champions of Women’s Golf Tournament hosted by Ohio Dominican in Columbus.
Tiffin topped a 10-team field that included Great Midwest schools Malone, host ODU, Ashland and Kentucky Wesleyan.
The Dragons had a two-round score of 608 (304-304) with Savage leading the way following a runner-up finish in the individual standings.
Savage posted rounds of 72 and 76 for a tournament total of 148 and she was one of our Tiffin players in the top 10. She was also joined by Amanda Johansson (tie for third), Michaela Lindahl (tie for fifth) and Lisa Marie Schumacher (seventh).
Savage’s scoring average stands at 80.20 through the season with five rounds counted in two events.
