INDIANAPOLIS – Kentucky Wesleyan served as host for both genders in the league's fall preview event as Great Midwest Athletic Conference Golf Athletes of the Week honors were awarded on Wednesday.
Findlay toppled the field in both men's and women's events at The Pearl Club in Owensboro to claim both team titles.
Men's Athlete of the Week

Holden has earned weekly conference honors for the first time in his career following his individual medalist effort at the Great Midwest Fall Preview on Monday and Tuesday.
The sophomore from England fired rounds of 72 (E) and 66 (-6) to capture the individual title. Holden was six shots back and tied for sixth after the first round and proceeded to shoot the low round of the day to take the championship.
This is the Panthers third event of the Fall and for Holden this is his best finish this season after finishing tied for fourteenth in the ODU Kickoff Classic and the Ohio Cup.
Ohio Dominican as a team finished third in the Great Midwest Preview shooting a team score of 296 (+8) and 288 (E). The score of 288 (E) is the Panther's best this season.
As a freshman, Holden barely missed becoming an automatic all-conference honoree as he tied for sixth in the Great Midwest Championship in Lexington, Ky.
The Panthers have some time off before they head to famous Cog Hill Country Club on Sept. 30, to take place in the Flyer Intercollegiate.
Women's Athlete of the Week

The nationally ranked Findlay junior Kniesly has earned athlete of the week league accolades for women's golf after her win at the Great Midwest Fall Preview.
Kniesly, from Logansport, Ind., helped the Oilers win the team aspect of the Fall Preview, winning by 13 shots in the standings.
Kniesly fired a 72 (E) on day one and found herself tied for the lead going into the final round of competition. The Junior then proceeded to shoot a 70 (-2) to finish the tournament at a 142 (-2). Her final round score of 70 was tied for the lowest round of the tournament.
The junior won by three shots over Malone's NCAA qualifier Christina Williams. The Oilers team score of 293 on day two puts them at the third lowest all-time score in league history for 18 holes.
Kniesly's 70 (-2) puts her at third all-time for the low individual women's score for 18 holes and her 36-hole score of 142 (-2) ties the record for the Great Midwest Conference.
Kniesly is now a three-time winner of conference athlete of the week honors after being named Great Midwest Freshman of the Year in 2017-18.
Findlay will have 11 days off before traveling to The Meadows in Allendale, Mich., to compete in the Gilda's Club Laker Invite.
