INDIANAPOLIS – Five different programs from the Great Midwest Athletic Conference earned high marks in the classroom by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) for the 2018-19 academic year.
Findlay, Hillsdale, Kentucky Wesleyan, Ohio Dominican and Tiffin, all qualified for the GCAA Outstanding Team Academic award, a cumulative effort that rewards GPA by a team’s roster.
A total of 199 schools officially submitted GPA’s of 3.0 or above and 34 of those schools received Presidents Special Recognition Honors, a team GPA of 3.5 or better.
To be eligible for GCAA Outstanding Team Academic honors, a college or university must submit GPA’s for each player on their official squad list for the academic year.
Thirty-four total programs from Division II were officially honored by the GCAA for work in the classroom.
