INDIANAPOLIS – Seven teams were ranked in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Preseason Coaches Poll presented by Under Armour that was released on Wednesday afternoon.
Great Midwest programs started their seasons in the fall and are gearing up for the regular season this upcoming spring.
Hillsdale was ultimately picked to repeat by the league’s coaches with five first-place votes. The Chargers roared through the conference championship bracket in 2018, winning in Owensboro for a Great Midwest trophy in their first attempt.
Findlay and Tiffin also received one first-place vote each while only two points separated the two programs from No. 2 and No. 3 in the poll.
Championship finalist Walsh was tabbed at No. 4 followed by Davis & Elkins, Cedarville and Kentucky Wesleyan, respectively.
Tiffin is continuing its first year as a new Great Midwest member. Kentucky Wesleyan’s program is also newly launched as the Panthers get ready to host the conference tournament for the second consecutive year.
