INDIANAPOLIS - The remainder of the Great Midwest All-Conference Men's Golf Team was determined by the league's coaches following the annual conference tournament held at Four Bridges Country Club.

The top five placewinners, including ties, were automatic selections to the all-conference team. With seven student-athletes identified at the G-MAC Championship in Liberty Township, Ohio, only three spots were left for the postseason honor.

Earning the final all-conference selections were Cedarville's Taylor Holt, Davis & Elkins' James Sutherland and Malone's Jarrod Kasunick.

Earning the top honor as Great Midwest Player of the Year was Cedarville junior Jordan Reese, a homegrown product who has blossomed into one of the league's top tier performers. After finishing last year as runner-up following a playoff in the conference meet, Reese took his game to a whole different level in 2016-17.

He enjoyed a scoring average of 74.96 through 23 rounds in 11 events and his best score of the season was a 68 (-4) at the NCCAA Midwest Regional in the fall.

Reese finished with six top-10 finishes, including four in the top five, along with medalist honors at the inaugural Great Midwest Fall Invitational with all conference teams competing. He also recorded six rounds of even par or better.

The coaches tabbed Trevecca Nazarene's Landon Cottrell as the G-MAC Freshman of the Year as the rookie tied for second in the league in scoring average at 74.91 strokes per 18 holes.

In eight events he recorded three top-10 finishes and a season-best round of 69 (-3) in the second round of the Mississippi College Invitational in early March. He helped the Trojans win their fifth consecutive conference championship and qualify for the NCAA Championship Midwest/Central Super Regional in Axtell, Neb.

He finished third in his first taste of the G-MAC Championship, posting a three-round total of 221 ( 5).

G-MAC Coach of the Year honors were awarded to Trevecca Nazarene's David Head again. Head and the Trojans lead the league in team scoring average at 299.6 and posted the conference's best round of the season with a 280 (-8).

Head helped guide the program to a nine-stroke margin of victory at the conference tournament with three of his players finishing in the top 10.

Already making the Great Midwest All-Conference Team from the conference tournament was medalist Alistair Kyle (Davis & Elkins), Adam Jeffries (Alderson Broaddus), Cottrell, Kollin Hopwood (Davis & Elkins), Carter Ehms (Cedarville) and Payton Williams (Trevecca Nazarene).

Kasunick and Sutherland each tied for eighth in the G-MAC Championship with a 54-hole score of 227. Holt had a brilliant season with a 74.91 scoring average and five top-10 finishes.
