INDIANAPOLIS – Malone and Ohio Dominican each received honors for Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s & Women’s Golf Athlete of the Week honors that were announced Tuesday afternoon.
Malone’s men competed at the Ohio Valley-hosted Highlands Cup Challenge while the Ohio Dominican competed at the Pat Clouse Invitational hosted by Wittenberg University.

English tied with teammate Kyle Barnett for third at the OVU Highlands Cup Challenge as the Pioneers finished runner-up as a team.
English finished the tournament with a 66 (-4) on the par-70 course at the Marietta Country Club.
His tournament total of 139 (-1) put him just two strokes off the overall lead set by Gunnar Stein of Saginaw Valley State. Due to the adjusted par, English tied for the third-lowest round this year in the Great Midwest behind Hillsdale’s George Roberts (67 on par 72) and Kentucky Wesleyan’s Carter Dodson (66 on par 72).
English and the Pioneers lead all teams in the league in scoring average, now at 292.8 four-player score through 10.5 rounds.
English is also tied for fifth among all individual scoring leaders with a 73.0 average in 10.5 rounds played.

Romine tied for fourth to lead Ohio Dominican at the Pat Clouse Invitational as the Panthers placed fourth in a 12-team field.
Romine carded rounds of 78 (tied her best 18-hole score of the fall) and 79 to lead her team as ODU finished out its fourth tournament of the fall season.
Ohio Dominican posted its best team round of the fall in the final 18 holes, posting a cumulative 315, five strokes better than a 320 recorded at the ODU Cumberland Trail Classic.
Romine ranks among the Great Midwest’s best in individual scoring average. She is currently ninth sporting a 79.9 per-18 hole score.
