GREENWOOD, Ind. – Davis & Elkins freshman Jack Clifton was named the fourth Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week for the 2015-16 season.

Clifton and the Senators came from behind to pull off victory this weekend as they competed against Cedarville to claim a share of the G-MAC Championship.

It marked D&E’s third men’s tennis conference title as the Yellow Jackets and Senators were declared as co-champions for 2016.

Clifton beat Joel Clark from Cedarville in both matches even though the teams ended up splitting. He came back in a third-set tiebreaker to end the match on Saturday in Cedarville and ultimately give D&E the win, 5-4.
 
Clifton also contributed doubles wins in both contests, making him a perfect 4-0 combined in singles and doubles for the week.
