GREENWOOD, Ind. – Davis & Elkins junior Alistair Kyle was named the final Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week for the 2016 spring season on Monday.
 
Kyle led the Senators to a first-place team finish at the Ohio Valley Spring Championship in Marietta, Ohio, over the weekend -- right before traveling to the G-MAC Championship.
 
Kyle carried the torch for Davis & Elkins with top individual honors following his round of 73 (+2) on the par-71 layout.
 
Davis & Elkins edged out host Ohio Valley and Glenville State in the one-day event at the Marietta Country Club.
 
The Senators combined to shoot a 306 (+22) to beat host OVU by a slim three-shot margin.
 
At the time of release, Kyle fired a two-round total of 162 (82-80) on the first day of the conference tournament at Four Bridges Country Club in Middletown, Ohio.
