GREENWOOD, Ind. – Cedarville junior Taylor Holt has been named the third Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men’s Golf Athlete of the Week for the spring season on Tuesday.
Holt put together a strong 36-hole performance at the Saginaw Valley State Spring Invitational in Georgetown, Ky., last week.
He managed to tie for sixth overall with a two-round total of even-par 144 (75-69).
Holt’s round of 69 (-3) is one stroke shy of the G-MAC all-time record. Two different players have carded a 68, including one of those times by Holt back in 2014.
Holt currently leads the Yellow Jackets in scoring this season, averaging 75.85 strokes per round.
Cedarville tied for ninth with Alderson Broaddus in the team standings at the SVSU Spring Invitational. The G-MAC’s Kentucky Wesleyan was also in attendance at the 15-team event.
