INDIANAPOLIS - Cedarville freshman Alex Totten was picked as the Great Midwest Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Athlete of the Month for his body of work in September.

Totten and the Yellow Jackets have enjoyed a 2-1 start in dual competition with wins over Huntington and West Virginia State and a narrow 5-4 setback to future G-MAC foe Findlay.

The fall season is abbreviated for the rigors of the spring, but Totten was unfazed in his first taste of collegiate tennis after reeling off a combined 6-0 record (3-0 singles, 3-0 doubles) in the month of September.

He earned two of his three doubles wins with teammate Joel Clark and the other with Matt Brumbaugh.

In singles action, Totten played all of his matches at the No. 3 position in the Cedarville rotation and was the victor by straight sets in all three matchups.
