GREENWOOD, Ind. – Ursuline’s Vanessa Consiglio and Cedarville’s David Yoder were respectively named Great Midwest Athletic Conference Scholar-Athletes of the Year for their 2014-15 accomplishments on Friday.
Voting for the awards was compiled among a combination of administration from the G-MAC’s member institutions.

Consiglio orchestrated one of the best single-season performances the conference will ever see following the Arrows’ run to the G-MAC regular season and tournament championships.
The junior forward led the nation in assists with 19 and finished fourth in the country in points per game by averaging 2.26. Her 43 points led the conference and ranked fifth nationally.
The Canadian’s passing prowess vaulted her to the top of the career record leaders in UC’s program history.
Consiglio earned billing as the G-MAC Offensive Player of the Year and earned second team all-region honors by NSCAA/Continental Tire and Daktronics.
Off the pitch, her academic pursuits towards of a double major in business administration and marketing were well documented as she worked to compile a current cumulative GPA of 3.97 for Ursuline.
Consiglio was the recipient of the CoSIDA Academic All-America of the Year award for NCAA Division II in women’s soccer.
The Arrows finished 15-4 overall while marching to an 8-2 record in the conference regular-season schedule.

Recently named to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team for track and field/cross country, Yoder’s career ended on a high note as he begins to prepare for graduate school at Wright State University.
Yoder graduated earlier in May with a perfect 4.0 PGA as he obtained his degree in biology/pre-med from Cedarville.
He was a four-year letterwinner for the Yellow Jackets’ program and contributed to the school’s sustained conference success during the early history of the G-MAC.
Yoder was a first-team all-conference selection in both the indoor and outdoor seasons while specializing with the 4x400-meter relay unit.
He helped bring home indoor and outdoor conference titles in those events while placing runner-up in the 400-meter dash.
Yoder was also involved with the Green County jail ministry for three years during his time as a student at Cedarville.
