WOMEN'S SOCCER
Goals were flying on the scoreboard early and often in Thursday’s G-MAC matchups for Cedarville (6-4, 1-3 G-MAC) and Ursuline (9-2, 5-0 G-MAC) as all eight conference teams were in action.
Recently becoming the program’s all-time assists leader, Vanessa Consiglio continued her torrid fall with two goals and more than the hat trick for assists with four helpers.
Paige Rowan scored twice in the first 16 minutes of regulation as the Arrows cruised to a 4-0 lead by halftime. Rowan completed the hat trick with her third goal early into the second half, her G-MAC leading 11th of the season.
Consiglio entered the week ranked third in the nation in total assists, sixth in assists per game and Rowan was 11th in total goals. Both are now among the nation’s leaders in points and assists following the most recent NCAA statistical report.
Once again, the overall points race between Rowan (32 – 15 goals, 2 assists) and Consiglio (31 – 9 goals, 13 assists) is neck-and-neck with reigning G-MAC Player of the Year Jacoby Ziegler (Cedarville) still out of the picture due to injury.
Cedarville was on cruise control as Grace Miorelli had a hat trick and then some with four goals in a 9-0 home effort against Ohio Valley. Sarah Storkel, Sara Rogers, Kait Stiles, Carla Halvorson and Danielle Mahek, each scored their first goals of the year for the Yellow Jackets.
Trevecca (6-3-1, 3-1-1 G-MAC) -- a program with 14 freshmen -- continued to show signs coming of age with a 2-1 win against Alderson Broaddus (2-6-1, 2-3 G-MAC) to bump its league record up to 3-1. Abbie Alosi scored twice in the first half as career goals leader Brooke Gann assisted one.

The Panthers moved back to .500 in the G-MAC with the home win and keeper Kathryn Dishion made seven saves to improve to 5-1 behind net.
When the dust cleared from the weekend, Ursuline remained in first followed by Davis & Elkins and Trevecca tied for second.
D&E stormed past Pittsburgh-Johnstown, 4-1, on Tuesday. Taylor Morton scored in the first minute of regulation and quick-strike goals in a three-minute span helped the Senators cruise.
On paper, fourth-place Kentucky Wesleyan has a chance to move up with two favorable matchups this week. The Panthers are riding a wave of defensive confidence led by goalkeeper and G-MAC Athlete of the Week Kathyrn Dishion.
