Cedarville remains as the lone unbeaten in the G-MAC, sitting comfortably at 5-0-1 in the league schedule.
All six seeds have been decided for the postseason with Davis & Elkins, Salem International, Alderson Broaddus, Kentucky Wesleyan and Cedarville, in for the G-MAC Championship.
Salem International continues to carve out a strong season resume after taking care of business against Trevecca and Ohio Valley. Mohamed Bakayoka and Tomas Szabo each have five goals as the Tigers improved to 4-2-1 in the conference.
The race for the overall points lead continues to run neck-and-neck with Connor Gilmour and last week’s weekly award winner Christakis Agisilaou out in front with 24 and 21 points, respectively.
Agilsilaou and Kentucky Wesleyan gave previously undefeated Maine-Fort Kent all it could handle in a 1-1 tie. KWC redshirt freshman goalkeeper Grant Allen made 12 saves to slow down a potent offense and was the recipient of G-MAC Athlete of the Week.
Gilmour scored twice as the Yellow Jackets methodically wore down Salem International in a 3-0 shutout. Cedarville had a 16-5 shot advantage and Ethan Dewhurts/Paulo Pinto combined for the blanking in net defensively.
Cedarville kept it close against No. 3 Charleston (WV) on the road in a 2-0 defeat. A total of 15 shots were taken between both sides combined and a defensive struggle eventually gave way to Charleston, which still is undefeated at 13-0-1 overall.
An early goal in the 12th minute by Callum Doyle lifted Alderson Broaddus over Davis & Elkins as Ricard Lao recorded 10 saves to outduel his counterpart Daniel Nock.
AB dropped a 1-0 contest at the hands of Cedarville despite four more saves from Lao. The Yellow Jackets netted the game winner early on from the foot of Christian Alexander.
