CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville netted its first men's tennis victory of the campaign by sweeping Anderson, 9-0, in a non-conference match played at the Johnson-Murdoch Tennis Complex.

John Filcik and Jared Gerber got the Yellow Jackets going with an 8-1 result at #1 doubles.

Freshmen Joel Clark and Ryan Shomo teamed up at #2 doubles while Adam Levesque was paired with Stephen Combs at #3. Both CU tandems won by 8-5 finals.

In singles, #1 Filcik cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win. Clark picked up a point at the #2 slot, 6-3, 5-3 (retired).

The other Yellow Jacket scores were #3 Shomo (6-1, 6-4), #4 Levesque (6-0, 6-1), #5 Gerber (6-3, 2-6, 11-9), and #6 Combs (6-4, 6-1).

Cedarville, 1-1, resumes its schedule at Findlay on Sept. 28.
