FAIRBORN, Ohio - In what could be a preview of the G-MAC  Men's Golf Championships in April 2014, all of the G-MAC men's golf programs open their season against one another at the Fifth Annual Yellow Jacket Men's Golf Fall Invitational. Cedarville freshman Jordan Reese fired a 2-under par 70 to come from three shots back to win the Invitational, while in a nine-team field, Trevecca Nazarene University repeated as champions with a team score of 597.

Reese finished at 75-70-145 to claim medalist honors by one stroke at the 7,027 yard, par 72 Greene Country Club. As a team, Cedarville posted 308-296-604 to tie for second place with Davis & Elkins (305-299-604).

Trevecca sophomore Tyler Phillips was the low Trojan with a one-under-71 in the second round, to go with his first round 75, to total 146, just one stroke behind Reese. Phillips also finished second at last year's Yellow Jacket Invitational. Day one leader,

Day one leader from Davis and Elkins, Sebastian Bendsen finished in a three-way tie for third with a 147 (72-75) with teammate Laim Ainsworth (73-74) and Cedarville's Jacob Nafziger (74-73) in scoring conditions with the heat index over 100 degrees.

Among the nine teams participating, the six programs that make up the G-MAC Championship field too part. TNU finished first ahead of Cedarville, who tied for second with Davis and Elkins. Kentucky Wesleyan, who was sixth behind Alderson Broaddus after the first round, flipped spots with the Battlers to finish fifth. AB took sixth and Ohio Valley posted a ninth place finish.

Leading the way for Kentucky Wesleyan was Patrick Hibbs, who was 21st after the first round, but made a huge charge up the leaderboard, posting a tournament low round of 70 (tied with Reese) to move up to seventh overall with a 149.

James Jeffries from Alderson Broaddus posted a 157 (81-76) for a tie for 21st place to guide his team, while Brandyn Offenberger from Ohio Valley shot a 163 (84-79) for a tie for 38th to lead the Senators.
