OWENSBORO, Kentucky - The Kentucky Wesleyan men's golf team finished 17th of 25 teams with a 645 at the Midwest Regional #4 Tournament at the par-72 Purgatory Golf Club in Noblesville, Ind., played on Sunday and Monday.
Patrick Hibbs led the the Panthers tied for 28th with a 156 (77-79) followed by Mitch Faulk's 160 (84-76); Zach Buckner's 161 (77-94); and Richard Moore's 175 (89-86). Patrick Schirmer, who withdrew on Sunday due to an injury, shot a 79 in the second round.
Hibbs and Buckner scored the Panther's low round of 77 on Saturday. Faulk posted a 76 on Monday for KWC's best score.
Tiffin won the title with a 607 and Northern Kentucky’s Jones Brown won medalist honors with a 145 (70-75).
The Panthers play in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship on Sunday, April 15 and Monday, April 16, at the Paducah Country Club in Paducah, Ky.
