On Thursday, April 9, the 2025-26 Spring Nominees for the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was released.
And Ashland University women's lacrosse senior Rachel Crumbacher made the list.
The standout forward has been a critical piece for the women's lacrosse team's success over the years, contributing an outstanding 238 points, 141 goals, 97 assists and 291 draw controls before her senior season even began. This year, she's played just as well, posting 54 points, 36 goals, 18 assists, and 69 draw controls. She's also looked sharp in her efficiency, with a shot on goal percentage of 68.5%.
During her four years, the Eagles have won 45 games, taken home a Great Midwest Athletic Conference title and made the trip to the NCAA tournament.
But Crumbacher's impact goes beyond the field.
She mentors young athletes as a club lacrosse coach, promotes teamwork and accountability on the field, and supports athletic operations behind the scenes. On campus at AU, her involvement in organizations such as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Morgan's Message shows just how much she cares about student-athlete well-being and campus engagement. She also excels in the classroom, majoring in criminal justice with minors in homeland security, coaching and conflict resolution. She will graduate from AU this May.
Just last year the Allstate NACDA Good Works Team was announced, building on the legacy of the Allstate AFCA Good Works Team, which has celebrated college football players' good work off the field since 1992. Now, 60 more student-athletes across all sports and all divisions will be honored annually – three groups of 20 representing the fall, winter and spring collegiate athletics seasons.
The final team of 10 males and 10 females will be announced at the end of April.
