INDIANAPOLIS- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference will send a trio of teams to the Midwest Regional in the 2026 NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament.
The Cavaliers earned the No. 1 seed after capturing their fifth G-MAC title over the weekend. This is the second time Walsh will serve as the host site since becoming Great Midwest members back in 2017. Jeff Young and the Cavaliers post an overall record of 27-3 and will host No. 8 William Jewell.
Lake Erie and Ashland round out teams from the conference that punched their tickets to the national tournament. The Storm are slotted at No. 6 and will take on No. 3 Michigan Tech.
The Eagles from Ashland earned the No. 7 seed and will battle No. 2 Grand Valley State.
Regional quarterfinals will take place this Saturday, with the championship set for Tuesday, March 17.
The NCAA Division II Elite Eight will be in Pittsburgh, PA, with the two semifinal teams advancing to the national championship in Indianapolis.
