NORTH CANTON, OH: The final NABC DII Coaches Poll of the regular season was released on Tuesday afternoon. Previously ranked 19th, the Cavaliers have moved up to the 15th spot with their two wins over Cedarville and Great Lakes Christian. 15th is the highest ranking for the program in the NCAA era. Walsh previously was ranked 15th during the week of February 3rd.
The Men have a big week ahead as they travel to Ashland on Thursday and then return home for the Mayor's Cup, vs Malone, on Saturday. Thursday's road match up is set to be a big one as it is the first meeting of the two teams this year. The Eagles are 19-7 and 13-5 in the Great Midwest, just behind the Cavaliers. In the Point Rating System, the metric used to place teams in the conference tournament, Walsh has 4.07 points, Lake Erie 3.89, and Ashland 3.75.
Saturday's Senior Day match up is familiar territory as Walsh beat Malone, 68-44, back on January 24th.
