INDIANAPOLIS – Great Midwest baseball was in full swing this weekend, as all 11 G-MAC teams saw action across multiple states. With spring break underway, many conference programs headed south to wrap up their non-conference schedules before Great Midwest play begins next week.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
 
  • Malone (3-1) Malone went 3-1 on the weekend, earning wins over Davis & Elkins, Point Park, and Concordia St. Paul. The Pioneers improved to 10-2 overall after taking three of four games at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Malone has been led offensively by Zach Root, who is batting .382 with 13 hits in 34 at-bats while drawing 16 walks.
  • Ashland (4-0) Ashland capped its spring break trip with an impressive 4-0 week. The Eagles’ latest victory came against Winona State and was highlighted by Athlete of the Week Jackson Grine. The right-handed reliever earned the win after tossing 5.2 scoreless innings and striking out four.
  • Findlay (3-1) Findlay faced Gannon in a four-game series at Heidelberg University, taking three of four from the Knights. The Oilers opened the series with a dominant 19-4 victory, powered by Athlete of the Week Nick Palm, who went 4-for-5 with four runs scored and five RBIs.
  • Tiffin (2-1) Tiffin had a strong showing against conference opponent Thomas More, winning two of the three games in the series. The Dragons scored nine runs in each of the final two games to secure the series victory. Michael Patellis led the way in Game 2 of the 9-1 win, going 5-for-6 at the plate.
  • Ohio Dominican (2-0) Ohio Dominican put together an impressive performance against Indiana (Pa.), winning the first two games of the four-game series on Sunday. The Panthers are set to conclude the series with two more games. Steven Chapman has paced the team as a two-way standout, batting .385 with 10 hits while posting 17 strikeouts and a 5.87 ERA on the mound.
  • Walsh (2-3) Walsh competed in five games over a four-day stretch, highlighted by a dominant 23-1 win over Chowan. Chris Kramer delivered a standout performance in the victory with four hits, four runs, four RBIs, and a walk. Starting pitcher Nathan Krayzel earned the win, allowing just one run over three innings of work.
