Series HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Walsh vs. Cedarville (Cedarville wins series 3-1) Cedarville traveled to Canton, Ohio this weekend to face Walsh, where they secured a series win by taking three of four games. Walsh came out strong in game one with a 16-6 victory, powered by home runs from Brody Acres and Chris Kramer. However, the momentum quickly shifted to the Yellow Jackets, who controlled the remainder of the series. In game two, freshman Graham Ward delivered a clutch, late go-ahead two-run triple to seal a 6-4 win. Day two was dominated by Cedarville’s offense, as they exploded for 31 hits and 30 runs combined, winning game three 19-2 and game four 11-8 to close out the series.

  • Findlay vs. Lake Erie (Findlay wins series 4-0) Findlay hosted Lake Erie College last weekend and continued their strong play with a four-game sweep of the Storm. The Oilers jumped out early in game one and cruised to a 13-3 win, highlighted by Luke Senften’s three-hit, three-RBI performance. Game two proved tighter, but Findlay edged out a 3-2 victory behind senior Carson Mellott, who improved to 6-2 on the season. Mellott tossed five innings, allowing just two runs on four hits while striking out six. On day two, Findlay’s pitching staff took control, limiting Lake Erie to just three total runs across both games as the Oilers completed the sweep with 2-1 and 4-2 wins.

  • Hillsdale vs. Tiffin (Hillsdale wins series 3-1) Hillsdale hosted Tiffin and protected their home field by earning a 3-1 series victory. Tiffin opened the series with a 7-6 extra-inning win, backed by a strong outing from Brandon Swope. Hillsdale responded emphatically on day two, sweeping the Dragons with 7-2 and 5-0 wins. Jake Figman led the Chargers offensively, collecting four hits and three RBIs on the day. The series finale doubled as Hillsdale’s senior day, and the Chargers capped it off with a 5-2 win, clinching the series and punching their ticket to the postseason.

  • Northwood vs. Ashland (Ashland wins series 4-0) Ashland traveled to Northwood and completed a dominant sweep over the Timberwolves on their home field. The Eagles took both games on day one with 5-2 and 5-1 victories. In game two, staff ace Drew Becker delivered a complete-game performance, throwing 98 pitches in a brisk seven-inning contest that lasted just 1:53. Ashland carried that momentum into day two, finishing the sweep with 4-3 and 10-2 wins. Ryan Shimek contributed in game three with two hits and an RBI, while Collin Overholt led the charge in game four with two hits, two runs, and three RBIs.

  • Thomas More vs. Malone (Series split 2-2) Malone traveled to Thomas More, where the two teams split the four-game series. Thomas More took game one 9-2 behind a standout performance from Matt Resing, who recorded four hits, five RBIs, and three runs. Malone responded in game two with an offensive surge, blasting five home runs in a 14-4 victory. On day two, Thomas More secured a dramatic walk-off win in game three, as Noah McCarty delivered the game-winning single on senior day. Malone answered in the finale, jumping out early and earning a 14-6 win to split the series.

  • KWC vs. Ohio Dominican (KWC wins series 3-1) Kentucky Wesleyan hosted Ohio Dominican and secured a series win along with a spot in the upcoming conference tournament. KWC set the tone on day one, scoring 30 combined runs in dominant 16-3 and 14-2 victories. Athlete of the Week Jacob Riegel led the offense, going an impressive 9-for-13 over the weekend. The Panthers continued their momentum on day two with an 11-9 win to clinch the series. Ohio Dominican avoided the sweep in the final game, pulling away for a 9-3 victory.
