FLORENCE, Ind. — After 54 holes at Belterra Golf Club, the University of Findlay and Ashland University secured the top two positions to advance to the medal match round of the 2026 Great Midwest Athletic Conference (G-MAC) Women’s Golf Championship.

Findlay finished atop the team standings behind a deep and consistent lineup, while Ashland held firm in second to earn its spot in the championship match.

Team Leaders Power Findlay, Ashland

Findlay’s lineup featured multiple players near the top of the leaderboard, led by:

  • Ashleigh Duflo (Findlay) — 72-74-75 = 221 (+5)
  • Ellie Yeazell (Findlay) — 74-75-74 = 223 (+7)
  • Hayley Dye (Findlay) — 75-74-75 = 224 (+8)
  • Avery Thompson (Findlay) — 76-73-77 = 226 (+10)

Ashland countered with a balanced effort:

  • Zoe Mort (Ashland) — 74-76-75 = 225 (+9)
  • Sammi Miller (Ashland) — 76-75-75 = 226 (+10)
  • Macy Cook (Ashland) — 77-76-76 = 229 (+13)

The Oilers’ ability to stack low rounds across multiple players created separation, while Ashland’s steady scoring secured a comfortable second-place finish and a berth in the medal match.

Walsh University’s Sydney Hugo delivered the top individual performance of the championship, capturing medalist honors with a three-round total of: 73-71-74 = 218 (+2)

Hugo climbed into contention after an opening-round 73 and surged ahead with a tournament-low 71 in the second round. She closed with a 74 to secure the title by multiple strokes over a tightly packed group of Findlay competitors.

Her consistency across all three rounds proved decisive, as she was the only player in the field to finish near even-par for the championship.

With stroke play complete, Findlay and Ashland will now meet in the medal match to determine the 2026 G-MAC Women’s Golf champion, concluding another highly competitive conference championship.
