FLORENCE, Ind.- The Great Midwest Athletic Conference is set to host its 13th annual women’s golf championship April 16-18 at Belterra Resort in Florence, Ind. This is the second year the conference will host the championship in Florence.
 
The par 72 layout will challenge individuals across the G-MAC with a 54-hole stroke play competition followed by a final medal match play round between the top two scoring teams to determine the conference champion.
 
Findlay is the top-rated team in the East Region in the most recent NCAA regional rankings. Ashleigh Duflo has proven to be one of the top golfers in the conference, winning three individual titles so far this season. Duflo is ranked No. 1 in the East Region and No. 7 nationally after posting an average of 72.2 through 25 rounds. Alongside Duflo are teammates Hayley Dye and Ellie Yeazell who are also ranked in the region. The Oilers will look to win their eighth straight G-MAC title.
 
Ashland and Tiffin are ranked sixth and seventh in the region, respectively. The Eagles are coming off of a first-place finish at the NC4K Classic, where Ana Machamer earned the individual title with a stroke total of 150. For Tiffin, Laura Goetz is the top-rated golfer for the Dragons, posting a scoring average of 74.9.  
 
The tournament format will feature 36 holes of stroke play on the opening day, followed by 18 on day two. The two teams with the lowest aggregate scores will advance to the medal match play on the final day.
 
The top individual finisher in stroke play will be recognized as the individual medalist.
